Robert Half Business Product Analyst in Westlake, Ohio

Description We are looking for a Business Product Analyst to join our team based in Westlake, Ohio. In this role, you will be a critical link between the technical and business aspects of our service industry operations, ensuring that technical solutions meet business needs. You will be responsible for tackling a broad range of duties, from managing and prioritizing work items to facilitating meetings and design discussions with on and off-shore development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-level designs, including architecture requirements, are accurately documented and map to approved requirements.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop, execute and release in alignment with program and/or product roadmaps.

• Facilitate, define and document relevant business processes, gaining an understanding of the needs, measures, and risks & controls for the improvement area.

• Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of all work items, such as new features, defects, etc., providing the decision to create, fix or defer at the project level.

• Review and accept or decline output of development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed.

• Ensure development and QA teams understand requirements prior to development. Answer questions and support team throughout development and testing.

• Manage integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system.

• Assist with project level plans related to schedule, scope and resources.

• Assist in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs.

• Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.

• Act as a project manager when necessary. Take responsibility for managing dependencies.

• Analyze a broadly-defined area and use functional decomposition to define high-level epics and stories to create a well-organized, value-driven framework to provide the required business value in the Product Backlog.

• Write individual stories that are very clear and concise and are easy to understand and implement by the development team.

• Identify related user stories and epics, grouping them into themes as necessary and documenting the interrelationship and associated business process flows as necessary.

• Collaboratively work within multiple evolving development methodologies including iterative Agile and sequential Waterfall projects.

• Elicit and document requirements from business owners/subject matter experts for new and existing products and/or applications.

• Facilitate meetings and design discussions with on and offshore development teams.

• Track and report project metrics/timeliness.

• Manage several different products/applications/work streams. Requirements • Proficiency in Business Analysis is required.

• Must possess skills in SQL Database management and administration.

• Knowledge and experience in Crystal Reports is essential.

• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.

• Strong communication and presentation skills are required to effectively relay insights from data to stakeholders.

• Must have the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.

• Must possess strong project management skills to oversee product development processes.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

• Prior experience in a similar role within the service industry is preferred.

• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A strong understanding of the current market trends and a forward-thinking mindset is essential.
