About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Materials Coordinator II to ensure that inventory accuracy is maintained through various material handling responsibilities including shipping, receiving and job-traveler picking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incoming Receiving: Perform incoming receiving duties, either as the primary or backup. Unpack, examine, count, and put away incoming shipments.
- Material Handling: Pull material for jobs and/or sales orders, verifying part number, quantity, lot, and serial number. Transact material from inventory to WIP and/or create a pack ID for customer shipment.
- Job Traveler Shortages: Fulfill job traveler shortages with purchased parts and/or subassemblies as material becomes available.
- Verification: Compare identifying information and counts, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against packing lists.
- Nonconformance Management: Manage rejects/nonconforming damaged items, process subcontract DMRs and shortages, and investigate invoice discrepancies.
- Shipping Responsibilities: Act as a backup for domestic shipments and shipping customer sales orders. Monitor daily shipping schedules and sales order backlogs, and schedule large carrier pickups.
- Inventory Requests: Monitor inventory requests and fulfill job traveler requests. Assist coworkers with any inventory-related questions, inventory adjustments, location updates, and organization.
- Cycle Counts: Conduct inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Fulfillment Workbench: Perform fulfillment workbench responsibilities.
- Vendor Management: Assist in monitoring and ordering vendor floor management quantity-bearing or KanBan parts for manufacturing.
- Logistics Projects: May be asked to work on logistics projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent or 2+ years material coordination or logistics experience
- Vocational/technical training or other specialized formal education preferred
- Typically 2+ years experience in material flow, control and distribution including shipping and/or receiving
- Forklift Operator's License (can be obtained within 3 months of starting position)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
