This individual will develop and lead all facets of the company's innovation and digital strategy. This includes the integration of cutting-edge construction automation solutions, software, and digital tools that will improve efficiencies, streamline workflow, and drive competitive advantages for the Kokosing group of companies. The Director, Construction Technology and Innovation will report to the CEO and have daily interaction with operational leaders and the IT department. Key Responsibilities: Drive company strategic goals and achieve key performance indicators as it relates to Technology and Innovation Leads the Technology and Innovation Team, which is comprised of operations and department leaders. Leads the Automation Team which is comprised of operations and department leaders. Informed on emerging construction technologies and platforms to improve operational efficiency. Leads the RFQ/RFP stages in addition to evaluation, selection, implementation, and tracking actual effectiveness of future technology solutions and their return on investment. Leads the evaluation of existing technology solutions for effectiveness. Conducts complex process discovery on an as-needed basis to appropriately support project technology needs and requests. Facilitates business process re-engineering and change management to standardize and optimize business processes and systems. Works with stakeholders to elicit requirements, analyze, define, document, and manage requirements. Supports key operational and business processes associated with the construction industry including, but not limited to document control, financials, project delivery, materials procurement, productivity tracking, general site communications, quality tracking, safety, and other related processes and procedures. Influences and drives process and tool standardization, where appropriate. Ensures that applicable construction technology solutions comply with company and client requirements. Acts as a liaison representing business user needs to third-party system providers, consultants, and internal IT in support of existing and future systems. Assists in the development and documentation of SOPs. Develops and delivers training for business users to optimize processes and systems. Assists in evaluating and testing product beta releases and updates. Assists in generating and distributing company-wide communications related to technology initiatives and applications. Acts as a liaison representing the Information Technology group at key construction project lifecycle meetings (pre-planning, kick-offs, and debriefs) to coordinate and manage the implementation of various technologies. Qualifications: Proficiency in project management methodologies to oversee technology projects from initiation to completion. Ability to manage resources, budgets, timelines, and risks effectively. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a construction-related role. College degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) with an emphasis in construction management, engineering, information systems and/or technology preferred Ability to rapidly learn new technology Business acumen and financial understanding of technology decisions Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
