Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and self-motivated intern to assist with the development and testing of our hardware products. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to hardware engineering. This position will report to the Amazon Robotics functional manager most closely aligned with the candidate’s skillset.

Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 or more consecutive weeks with start dates between May and June 2025 and are located in our offices in the Great Boston Area (North Reading, MA and Westborough, MA) and Seattle, WA.

The Intern will be responsible for:

  • Completing project tasks with a team of other interns and Amazon Robotics engineers

  • Utilizing Amazon Robotics engineering tools and processes

  • Prototyping and testing concepts or features

  • Tracking progress of task deliverables

  • Developing and maintaining design documentation

  • Presenting information to managers and engine

Basic Qualifications

  • Completion of at least junior year working towards a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering

  • Must have at least one semester left of school after completion of internship

  • Demonstrated experience working in team environmentsSolid understanding of principles, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks Simulation Finite Element Analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable using hand tools

  • Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced agile environment

  • Hands on experience with the ability to craft simple proof-of-concept models

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $41.78/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $88.94/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
