Cook H-2B Job DescriptionCook at West Yellowstone Conference HotelStart Date: April 1, 2025End Date: November 10, 2025DNC Parks & Resorts of West Yellowstone, Inc. d/b/a West Yellowstone Conference Hotel, located in West Yellowstone, Montana, seek two (2) full-time, temporary Cooks who will be responsible for the preparation of food and beverage products for customers by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines at West Yellowstone Conference Hotel’s property. They will also be responsible for the set up and operation of kitchen equipment that is used in food preparation. Keep workstation clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked. Follow supervisor's assignments for opening and closing procedures, as well as food production. Work cooperatively with co-workers and management. Able to stand for long periods of time including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching. Able to lift 20lbs or more and work under variable temperatures. Responsibilities will also include ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail and move rapidly to coordinate multiple orders.Will report directly to the Executive Chef at West Yellowstone Conference Hotel. Six (6) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.Applicant may be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and/or submit to regular testing if required under state or federal guidelines.Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at employer’s expense. Travel is not required.Daily transportation to and from worksite is not provided. Employee housing is within walking distance to worksite.On-the-job training is provided. Wage: $17.09-$19.09 per hour, paid weekly. Overtime is available at $25.64 -$28.64 per hour. When offered, associates could be eligible to receive a seasonal or any other available bonus. When offered, the amount is dependent upon length of season the associate worked, and work performance. Whether or not to use the bonus for the season is up to the discretion of the Leadership Team. Employees may be eligible for period wage increases based on performance or other factors.Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00am to 1:00pm or 12:00pm to 7:00pm. Shift hours may vary.A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, would be between $65.00 - $85.00 per week depending on housing situation (type of room, location, etc.). If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck.Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker’s sole benefit, including but not limited to health insurance. If voluntarily elected by worker, employee costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck.All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
