TOVAR SNOW PROFESSIONALS Snow Laborer (Temporary) in WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah

Snow Laborers needed at Tovar Snow Professionals 195 Penny Ave., East Dundee, IL. Phone: 847-695-0080. Start Date: November 10, 2024 End Date: April 15, 2025 Primary Worksite: 2175 S 3140 W, West Valley City, UT 84119, and throughout Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, Utah, and Weber counties. Tovar Snow Professionals, located in West Valley City, Utah, seeks One-hundred-ten (110) full-time, temporary Snow Laborers. Duties: Includes manual labor related to snow removal from walks, driveways, or parking lots, including: shoveling snow; spreading ice melt or salt; stacking and moving snow from properties; cleaning up ice melt and salt if needed; and using some small pieces of equipment such as skid steers, snow blowers, ATV's etc. No experience or education required. Requirements: required to walk, stand, climb, crouch, stoop, kneel, balance, lift, grasp, carry, push, and pull; must be able to lift and or move 50lbs plus; must be able to shovel snow for long periods of time; specific vision abilities required by this job inclue close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel is required to client worksites located throughout Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, and Utah counties. Daily transportation is provided from employer-provided housing to intended worksites. On-the-job training is provided. Wage: $23.72 per hour, paid every other week (bi-weekly). Overtime is available at $35.58. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 10:00am to 5:00pm. Shift hours may vary must be available 24/7 on-call as needed (when there is 30% chance or more for a storm, worker must be able to make it out to where they are needed to labor in less than two hours from when they are notified to report at the location.) A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Optional employer-sourced housing is offered on a first come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing including utilities, if accepted, is up to $180.00, weekly. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. Housing is provided by third party landlord; workers are responsible for damages incurred by worker to rental property. All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12- week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government ( xcluding passport fees).
