Summary Description

Technician must be able to diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair or overhaul recreational vehicles.  May specialize in maintaining gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or undercarriage/towing systems as well as repairing appliances, and interior components.

Job Tasks

·       Inspect recreational vehicles to diagnose problems and perform necessary adjustment, repair or overhaul.

·       Explain proper operation of vehicle systems to customers

·       Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and wiring

·       Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems to include but not limited to pumps, lines, fixtures and toilets.

·       Inspect, repair or replace brake systems and other undercarriage components

·       Diagnose and repair furnace, air conditioning and other lp and electric appliances and systems

·       Remove and replace exterior panels and components as well as structural frame members

·       Install and troubleshoot tow vehicle hitch systems, brake controls and wiring

·       Install and troubleshoot vehicle electronics systems and components

·       List parts needed, estimate costs and plan work procedures using parts lists, technical manuals or diagrams 

·       Record information about parts, materials and/or repair procedures.

·       Examine or test operation of parts or systems to ensure completeness of repairs.

·       Other tasks as assigned that may include carpentry, electrical, plumbing and/or mechanical skills

Job Requirements

·       Education or experience sufficient to perform job requirements

·       Ability to lift up to 80#

·       Pa Inspection license or ability/willingness to obtain

·       Minimum Class B CDL driver's license or ability/willingness to obtain

·       Must supply own tools

·       Must have basic computer skills and basic proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel

·       Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

·       Must maintain a professional appearance

·       Must be punctual

·       Willingness to participate in continuing education
