Job Description
Oversee 6S and Layered Process Confirmation programs in cooperation with operations & management personnel
Use project A3 to capture current and target state activities for small improvement projects (less than 3 months) which will aid in improving overall quality, minimizing defects, minimizing costs, achieving customer satisfaction; building company-wide lean BPS culture; training and developing peers and associates in BPS methodologies and tools to eliminate waste in all administrative, manufacturing and support functions
Reporting Responsibilities: Maintain and report out KPIs on 6S, LPC, and A3 Project status
Continuous Education: Regular communication meetings with associates to include safety, quality, continuous improvement, work area order, etc.; educate and train associates on BPS initiatives, tools, and methods; conduct weekly staff meetings to present KPI’s; conduct internal Kaizen events to drive efficiency through workshops and small group activities
Identify areas for improvement to reduce cost and waste using data collection and BPS tools
Qualifications
High School Diploma Required/ Associate Degree preferred
Shainin or Six Sigma Black Belt & Lean Manufacturing Green Belt Certifications preferred
Lean Management experience, to include strong leadership skills, ability to build and lead teams to attain objectives & performance, ability to coach and develop others
Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint (Reports, Pivot Tables, Macros), Excel, Auto Cad
Analytical & problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills (technical writing skills)
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles, policies, programs, regulations, and procedures; as well as ISO standards and procedures
