Pay Rate: Up to $25/hr. (BOE)

Schedule: Mon – Fri 7:00am to 3:30 pm

What’s a typical day as a Failure Analysis Technician I? You’ll be:

  • Working from test procedures, electrical schematics, technical notes, diagnostics, and component data sheets to identify and isolate the root cause of defective components, piece parts, and sub-assemblies of failing products.

  • Setting up and operating complex test equipment in accordance with standard test procedures.

  • Controlling, documenting, and processing all non-conforming material.

  • Providing technical support in all areas of manufacturing in support of in-circuit and functional test.

  • Assisting engineering in the implementation of new test tools and support as needed.

  • Understanding and following all applicable ISO and job-specific procedures.

  • Maintaining cleanliness of work area and surrounding workspace.

  • May train other employees.

  • Performing other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have an Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field and 2+ years of experience in system test and Failure Analysis to the component level.

  • Have previous experience utilizing digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, microscopes, logic analyzers, DVMs, and other troubleshooting tools.

  • Possess knowledge of analog and digital circuits.

  • Are capable of performing job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids.

  • Have knowledge and experience working with electro-mechanical products.

  • Are familiar with ISO9001 and IPC-610 requirements.

  • Have the ability to interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

  • Are proficient in business tools/applications such as Email, Excel, and MS Word.

  • Can work and communicate effectively as a team member.

  • Have experience with high-volume work.

  • Are self-motivated and able to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Can prioritize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Are willing to work flexible hours as necessary.
