BriteLife Recovery Sous Chef in West Kill, New York
We are looking to hire a commendable sous chef to join our kitchen. The sous chef will assist with tray line production, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, and friendly professional interaction with clientele.
To ensure success you will deliver high-quality, cost-effective dishes promptly. Top candidates are creative, service-oriented and level-headed.
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
• Ensuring promptness, freshness and quality of dishes.
• Coordinating time management of daily and weekly tasks.
• Maintaining hygiene policies and examining and upkeeping equipment for cleanliness.
• Assisting with the designing of new recipes, planning menus and plate presentation.
• Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.
• Greets residents, visitors and staff courteously and in a manner that respects dignity, confidentiality standards and promotes residents and staff rights
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area and dining area
• Up – To – Date knowledge of cooking techniques
• Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints

Qualifications:
ServSafe Food Handlers Credential
Previous experience in food service is preferred.
Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instruction.
