Because when we connect by understanding what makes people different, we can create unforgettable experiences that enrich lives. Join us at razorfish.com.

Overview

Sr. Copy Editors at Razorfish are a key part of the content delivery process. They have an unbelievable grasp on the English language, an eye for detail, an ear for brand voice, and a near-supernatural ability to see the things that no one else sees in the written content and messaging that is being crafted.

While they aren't generally creating copy themselves, they can take anything that other people have created and make it better, refining and polishing the work until it shines. They massage messaging, tweak tense, and perfect punctuation, ensuring all work that gets delivered is grammatically correct, clear, and concise. Whether witty or technical, simple or complex... they simply make everything that we do better.

This specific Sr. Copy Editor will be sitting within the B2B workstream for a major financial client and will spend the bulk of their time reviewing, editing, proofing, and updating long- and shortform written content, communications, and marketing materials to ensure that client projects are grammatically and factually correct, clear and effective, consistent, and compliant with client brand voice and standards. This could include anything from white papers to blog posts to ebooks to executive comms to social and site content, just kind of depends on what needs attention on that specific day.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is intended to be a hybrid role requiring onsite engagement at our Los Angeles office an average of 3 days/week and candidates local to that market will be prioritized. Highly qualified candidates from other US-based locations who are willing and able to work PST hours may also be considered. Note that hybrid engagement may be required for candidates who are local to a city where Razorfish or Publicis Groupe has a physical office location.

Responsibilities

  • Review, proofread, edit, revise, and enhance long- and shortform B2B content for client projects (including white papers, site content, analyst reports/guides, ebooks, internal/executive communications, blog posts, social posts, etc.) to ensure that they are error-free, grammatically and factually correct, consistent internally and across assets, and follow client brand standards

  • Partner with both client and internal teams to receive feedback and iterate changes to written content

  • Understand a brand's voice and update written content to ensure consistency and alignment to brand standards, copy styles, and product guidelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or Marketing strongly preferred; work experience or portfolio school may be substituted

  • 5+ years of professional copy editing, proofreading, or similar content experience, preferably at an advertising agency or on an in-house marketing team

  • Experience working alongside the financial industry or similar regulated industries is a plus

  • Experience ensuring that written content is consistent with brand voice, tone, and intended messaging

  • Ability to manage and handle a large volume of work across multiple concurrent projects efficiently, effectively, and accurately within tight, ever-changing project timelines

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities

  • Experience using digital project management/proofreading platforms (e.g., Workfront/ProofHQ) and Microsoft 365

  • Experience using client brand guidelines, plus industry style guides (e.g., AP Stylebook)
