UCLA Health RN - Pre-op/PACU, West Hills Surgical Center in West Hills, California
Description
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the PACU and/or Pre-Op areas, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with physicians, and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models. The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Contributes to the institution's mission and vision by utilizing the nursing process for the nursing care rendered from admission until patient is discharged from the facility and has left the premises.
Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree-Required
1 year applicable clinical experience-Required
Ambulatory surgery experience-Prefered
Current RN license to practice in California-Required
BLS-Required
ACLS-Required
PALS-Required (grace period, within 30 days of hire)
