Aerotek Chemical Operator in West Haven, Connecticut
Description:
Aerotek is looking for Chemical Operators in the West Haven, CT area for an immediate job opening. These people will be responsible for hands-on production
operations, plant maintenance and in-process quality control.
Daily tasks may include:
Work from written procedures to process, purify, and chemically fabricate products and their compounds through a sequence of batch operations
Operate equipment, including reactors, tanks, pumps, mixers, pH meters, level meters, flow meters, valves, and hoses used in the manufacture of said products
Locate materials in the warehouse and transport to manufacturing areas using a forklift as needed
Package, mark, and label Hazardous Waste containers
Operate equipment and follow procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, OHSA'S 18001 standards
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous chemical related work experience highly preferred
Strong technical aptitude
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Previous forklift experience preferred
Minimum High School Education or GED Equivalent
