Actalent Manufacturing Technician - Entry Level in West Greenwich, Rhode Island
Overview:
This person will work in a dynamic production environment supporting commercial, clinical, and launch activities. Under general supervision, the employee will perform operations in the Manufacturing area according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Equipment set-up, operation, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Performing routine manufacturing process operations.
Training staff on manufacturing processes and equipment use.
Conducting process, area, and equipment inspections and risk assessments.
Collecting samples and using computer input devices.
Attending meetings as required.
Lifting and moving up to 30 lbs.
Focus on and adherence to cGMP procedures.
Identifying hazards and recommending mitigating actions.
Continuous improvement of routine floor operations.
Drafting and revising manufacturing documents.
Applying basic chemistry, biology, and mathematical principles.
Collaboration across functions and effective communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree OR High School Diploma with 3 years work experience in manufacturing.
Interest in biotech industry
Flexibility to work 1st or 2nd or 3rd shift
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Good written communication skills.
Experience working in a team environment.
Understanding of safety culture principles and effective team collaboration.
Lab exposure and experience in an environment where safety is a top priority.
Open to candidates with experience in batch chemicals or chemical processing.
