Description:

Prepares monthly financial statements.

• Prepares and posts journal entries.

• Reconciles balance sheet accounts.

o Maintains fixed assets and depreciation/amortization schedules in FAS.

o Reconciles to subsidiary ledgers for accounts payable, accounts receivable, job cost, and fixed assets.

o Reconciles to statements for bank accounts, debt, escrow, and accrued interest.

o Agrees and reconciles intercompany accounts to various entities and coordinates cash movement with the chief accounting officer.

• Reviews income and expense accounts for proper classification.

• Prepares financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.

• Submits financial package for review and approval.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA preferred.

• Two years’ minimum accounting experience specific to financial reporting, month end process, reconciliation, more intermediate accounting functions

• Proficient with software systems including Microsoft Word and Excel required. Sage 300 (Timberline) and/or Sage FAS a plus.

Able to take project specifications and implement details to achieve desired results while knowing when to clarify details and direction with Manager.

Sound analytical thinking skills, interpersonal skills, and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy and timeliness.
