Johnson Matthey Supply Chain Data Analyst in West Deptford, New Jersey

Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) is a leading refiner and recycler of precious group metals. The growing demand for low carbon and responsibly sourced products is creating growth opportunities in critical metals recycling and secondary refining, and as the world’s largest precious metals recycler, PGMS is a key player in the circular economy.

As a Supply Chain Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision making across the West Deptford site. You will partner with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify data needs, and develop digital solutions, which may include defining a process for data to be collected, creating a data collection architecture, and designing data visualizations. You will manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within scope. You will collaborate with the Global Digital Delivery and JM IT teams to communicate digital analytics best practices onsite and throughout the PGMS business.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Engage with internal teams to understand business requests, translate requirements into an analytical project approach, and support projects through completion

  • Mine data from various sources, cleanse, enrich and organize to support further analysis

  • Collaborate with JM IT database administrators to manage the supply chain team’s Azure SQL databases

  • Design and implement data models using programming languages, such as SQL, M, and DAX

  • Administer complex data analysis and report on results

  • Build workflows to extract, transform, and load data into models or databases

  • Collaborate with JM IT to ensure that all digital activities are delivered in a secure, robust, and supportable way within the JM IT guiderails

  • Support the Data Delivery Lead with data management, digital training, and data analytics delivery across all functions at the West Deptford site

  • Support PGMS supply chain data strategy and data governance efforts

  • Identify opportunities for streamlining processes to improve efficiency

  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to schedule and scope

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables

  • Support PGMS transformation programs, such as Fusion and S&OE, as required

Requirements for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years’ experience within a Supply Chain or data analysis focused role

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL desirable

  • Familiarity with ETL software desirable

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact at multiple business levels

  • Strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Passion and enthusiasm for digital technology and data analytics

  • Proven experience in project management

  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives and effectively solve problems
