Robert Half HR Assistant in West Chester, Ohio

Description We are seeking a HR Generalist to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in West Chester, Ohio. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including maintaining personnel files, tracking job applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks. They will also handle tasks related to payroll, purchasing, and accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update personnel files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Track job applications and coordinate interview schedules for potential candidates.

• Conduct background checks for prospective employees as part of the hiring process.

• Facilitate new hire orientation to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

• Process payroll on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

• Handle purchasing responsibilities, maintaining a well-stocked and efficient work environment.

• Oversee accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Utilize skills in Human Resources (HR) Administration, Automated Payroll, Purchased Materials, and Accounts Payable (AP) to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Ensure the HR department runs smoothly, addressing any issues or inquiries that arise. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of HR Generalist

• Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Familiarity with Automated Payroll systems

• Experience with handling Purchased Materials

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) process

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations

• Must have the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented environment.
