Northern Lights Candles Sales Planning Business Analyst in Wellsville, New York

The Sales Planning Business Analyst is responsible for high level data collection while providing insights and implementing action plans regarding current and future business trends on all NL National Accounts as well as NL Independent Retail Channel. This desk has a high level of accountability around writing reports, conducting research, analyzing data, and making recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency, working closely with planning to consistently evaluate and re-tool the forecast as needed. This role will also be key in item setups and GTIN management.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESNational Account Leadership ResponsibilitiesDaily and weekly updates on all reporting aspects for National Accounts such as Walgreens stores using STIBO, Amazon.com using Vendor Central and other National Accounts platforms.Download customer portal sales data and manipulate into meaningful reports, distribute those reports to NL stakeholders each week.Manage Walgreens weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans outlining inventory needs and goals through excel. This includes the weekly inventory pipeline sheet that is distributed to buying team.Create a weekly report for fulfillment to help keep stock in inventory for National Accounts and Independent Retail ChannelCompile and manage data for inventory feedback and actionable insights regarding current and future business trends.Work with buyers and replenishment managers to assure we are meeting/exceeding standards in inventory control, on-time shipments, and line management.Back up for order entry for all National accounts.Complete item set-up sheets for National accounts managers as needed.Develop detailed reporting through D365 and PowerBI for Walgreens, Meijer, Cracker Barrel, Joann, Wegmans, and any other accounts where reporting is readily available.Thought Leadership ResponsibilitiesDevelop and understand new marketing research software (i.e. Nielsen or NPD) to help drive top line business insights to key leadership on current and future business trends.Assist Director of Sales and Sales Managers in creating deck presentations for customer meetings which includes providing high level data and business insights regarding current or future business trends.Analyze sales and provide customers both internal and external with actionable sales insights and action plans.Create high level reporting, charts, graphs and other materials to help in analyzing our business on a chain-by-chain basis.Inter-Departmental Communication ResponsibilitiesMeet with Planning bi-weekly to ensure forecasts align with business evolvements; promotion participation, new customer inventory holding strategy, store count adjustments, etc.Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvementPerform research and analysis in support of operationsAssist in resolving business issues using systems and dataEstimate costs and benefits of multiple actions and/or solutions and provide recommendationsWork with planning and transportation team on supply chain needs and challenges to ensure timely order deliveries.Other DutiesMaintain Global data information through GS1 standards.Creation of GTINs as requested and maintains the used GTINs so they are not duplicated by GS1 standards.Facilitate SDS requests and maintain information through on-line site, WERCS.Develop and maintain Sales Spec Sheets for new products which include weights, dimensions, UPC codes, product numbers, etc.Order and Maintain sample inventories in NL Sample Room.Collect all needed paperwork in coordination with credit dept to ensure accuracy of allowance deductions and dispute payment.Perform related duties or special assignments as assigned.EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in related fieldAdvanced Microsoft Office Suite abilities (most especially with Excel and PowerPoint)Daily Working Knowledge of the following is highly desirableCustomer retail portals like; STIBO, Supplier Net, 1 World Sync and other data sync supported services, Kroger Portals, Amazon Vendor Central, etc.Experience with PowerBIThis position is classified as office hourly with a pay range of $21.60/hr -  $25.56/hr.
