This individual must be able to abide by the Ryan safety policies & procedures and set a good example for both Ryan employees and subcontractors. This role is responsible for assisting to train the apprentices assigned to them. This role is considered a safety-sensitive position. Some things you can expect to do: Assist with directing traffic and clearing the path in the event of an emergency Quality installation and layout of concrete forming systems, box out's, embeds Drywall framing and sheetrock Rough carpentry Installation of high-end doors, hardware and millwork Safety carpentry installations of handrails, floor covers, enclosures Light demolition Installation / reinstallation of temporary enclosures Be responsible for Ryan tools and equipment entrusted to them with regard to proper care and storage, as well as the obligation to immediately report any tool damage, loss or theft to their supervisor To be successful in this role, you must retain a valid driver's license and be able to work productively with others or independently. You must be able to compare and see difference in size, shape, and form of lines/figures/objects; picture objects from drawings or diagrams; rate information using standards that can be measured; calculate amount of materials required for each job; and work within precise limits or standards of accuracy. Physical requirements include the ability to work in heat and other weather conditions; crouch, kneel, squat, climb; lift, push, pull 75 lbs; reach high and low places; see, hear, balance; stand and walk throughout the workday; use repetitive hand/arm/leg movements. You will really stand out if you have: Problem-solving abilities Effective communication skills Ability to make sound decisions Knowledge in the safe handling and proper care of power tools Eligibility Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities Act for positions located in Washington. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and other job-related reasons.
