Job Summary

The primary function of an individual in this role is to provide financial support to our field operations with exceptional internal customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures monthly profit and loss statements are an accurate reflection of the results of the period

• Ensures accounting conforms to the Group Accounting Policies and Procedures manual based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

• Confirms that balance sheet accounts reflect the correct balance and are reviewed and reconciled monthly

• Analyzes statements for possible misstatement/defalcation

• Provides daily support to field operations by training operators to use and understand financial information and back office accounting systems

• Acts as a liaison between field operations and other Corporate functions such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Capital Assets and Payroll

• Identifies best practices within the role and strive to improve processes and efficiencies

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience

• At least two years of accounting experience

• Proficient knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of Access

• Excellent customer service skills

• Good communication skills, verbal and written

• Working knowledge of SAP financial module, preferred

• Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines, learn quickly and self-motivate
