ManpowerGroup Accounting Manager in Wayne, Florida

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our accounting operations in King of Prussia, PA. This role will lead a team of eight accounting professionals , ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and team leadership within a large corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage an accounting team of 8, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and regulatory requirements .

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Finance, Tax, and Auditing teams.

  • Manage general ledger activities, accruals, and journal entries.

  • Assist with external and internal audit processes, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience , preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences company.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience , managing accounting teams in a corporate environment.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls .

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred) .

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools .

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills .

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
