DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Assistant 1, you will be performing para-professional technical duties within State Correctional Institution (SCI) Waymart and SCI Dallas. Work includes monitoring, tracking, and reviewing employee performance reviews for completion and accuracy; taking monthly meeting minutes for labor management; assisting with the compilation of grievance packets; and assisting with the accreditation audit. In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining the email resource account, serving as wellness screening coordinator, conducting HR orientation for new hires, and performing routine administrative duties as needed. All work will be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards but limited use of independent judgment may be required to make a decision that deviates from existing policy or standards in order to meet a new or unusual circumstance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
