Job Title: CNC Machinist - Day Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. This role involves machining parts for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will have experience in editing programs, selecting proper tooling, understanding Fanuc controls, reading blueprints, and using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers. The CNC Machinist must also be able to zero out the X, Y, and Z axes before starting new jobs and perform tool touch-offs to set the proper tooling height.
Responsibilities
Edit CNC programs and select proper tooling.
Understand and operate Fanuc controls.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Zero out X, Y, and Z axes before starting new jobs.
Perform tool touch-offs to set proper tooling height from the XYZ axis.
Machine parts for automotive, aerospace, and medical industries with tight tolerances.
Essential Skills
Experience with boring mills and CNC machining.
Proficiency in programming using Vizi, Work NC, or Mastercam.
Knowledge of Fanuc controls or other programming systems.
Ability to read blueprints.
Skilled in using micrometers and calipers.
Experience with horizontal boring mills and horizontal CNC machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
Attention to detail and precision in machining.

Work Environment
The work environment includes two shops on the premises with large CNC machines. The facility is fairly clean, and the day shift hours are from 6 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayland, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00
