Job Description
Job Title: Regional Marketing Intern
Location: Various
Department: Marketing
Job Summary : The Regional Marketing Intern will support the Local Marketing Team by identifying opportunities within our New and Fringe Markets to drive brand awareness and help build the Wawa brand. In addition, they will participate in a special project and outline Wawa’s capabilities to support funding opportunities through local marketing. Depending on needs and workload the intern may be involved in various activities with marketing or other internal teams associated with building the brand.
Principal Duties:
New/Fringe Market research by region
Investigate large event opportunities (festivals, sport sponsorships)
Identify Potential College Events
Identify Market Specific Opportunities
Identify Social Opportunities
Analyze Competitive Landscape in new/adjacent markets
Set up and support a large event(s) – Being involved in the entire event planning process
Support funding opportunities through local marketing (process/capabilities).
Follow up with internal teams for program support.
Shadow Regional Marketing Manager and participate in a Local Marketing Activations.
Gain knowledge of Halo and swag ordering process.
Investigate/Outline a Wawa Ambassador program.
Administrative work to support new/adjacent market expansion and partnerships.
Essential Functions:

Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree within Marketing preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel
Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
