Job Description

Job Title: Product Development Intern

Location: Corporate Headquarters

Department: Marketing

Job Summary : The Product Development Intern will be primarily involved with the execution of our Food and Beverage internal sensory events, quality checks and nutritional documentation for Wawa branded products. Assist the Product Development Team as needed.

Principal Duties:

  • Execute on-site sensory events. Assist with sample preparation, panel management, data review, and reporting.

  • Performs quality control checks on key Wawa branded products. Document and communicate findings.

  • Input ingredients into nutrition labeling system.

  • Assist Product Development Team with product testing and internal product reviews.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration or major in Food Science, Nutritional Science or Culinary Arts

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products

  • Experience or willingness to learn sensory techniques and sensory software (Compusense®)

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or Higher

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a college or university for the Spring 2025 semester – Fall 2026 semester

  • Candidate must be available from May 19, 2025 – August 7, 2025

  • Wawa currently observes a 4-day in office schedule Monday - Thursday with the opportunity to work remote on Friday.
