Job Description

Job Title: HVACR/Equipment Intern

Location: Corporate

Department: Facilities

Job Summary : The HVACR/Equipment Intern will work within Wawa’s Facilities Equipment Team to assist in the accuracy and enhanced data collection for all HVACR and Food Prep/Beverage equipment. This position will audit SAP/Nuvolo data to identify asset system discrepancies and update the data focused on model numbers, refrigerant types, controller types and warranty dates/terms. This position will also review work order equipment parts trends to help improve vendor inventory levels and identify potential bulk purchase opportunities.

Principal Duties:

  • Collaborate with Facilities equipment teams to understand current store equipment specs and data collection needs

  • Audit asset data accuracy across multiple systems (SAP/Nuvolo/Plan Express) to identify equipment spec discrepancies and information voids

  • Work with Equipment SLM’s/ Vendors and manufacturers to standardize warranty terms and conditions and update in system as needed

  • Perform data analysis of equipment work order part replacement trends to improve vendor inventory levels, reduce store down time and identify bulk purchase opportunities

  • Review warranty holds, document trends/concerns and manage process through resolution

  • Research future refrigerant regulation requirements from an administrative end to determine impact on current in-house processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or Higher

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university for the Spring 2024 semester – Fall 2025 semester

  • Candidate must be available from May 26, 2025 – August 11, 2025

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration or major in Engineering preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Wawa currently observes a 4-day in office schedule Monday - Thursday with an opportunity to work remote on Friday.
