Job Description
Job Title: Category Management Intern
Location: Wawa, PA
Department: Marketing
Job Summary :
The category management intern (snacks and tobacco) will support the assortment manager in all processes necessary to meet financial goals, while working cross-functionally and building business acumen skills. Depending on needs and workload, intern may also be involved in various activities associated with the following groups within marketing: space planning, COE, revenue management, marketing support, other category teams and operations.
Principal Duties:
Support the category management team in developing and directing comprehensive programs that maximize sales and optimize customer experience.
Lead research process to inform 2025 category strategy including data review and on site observations in the market. Monitor competitor assortments, promotional pricing and merchandising.
Analyze monthly store and business performance relative to plans and trends; provide recommendations to team.
Partner with category space planner to execute seasonal updates to programming.
Work with assortment managers to manage promotions and display calendar from setup to execution through supply chain.
Assist with Applix research and store resolution processes
Perform other marketing duties and special projects as assigned by department supervisors.
Special projects as assigned by the category team aimed at optimizing the business through enabling infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration or major in Marketing preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products, proficient with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of IRi
Past data analytics experience from previous job, internship or school project
Valid driver’s license in good standing / reliable transportation (for store/comp visits)
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or Higher
Candidate must be currently enrolled in a college or university for the Spring 2025 semester – Fall 2026 semester
Candidate must be available from May 19, 2025 – August 7, 2025
