Job Title: ACC Diversity Legal Intern

Job Summary :
The ACC Diversity Legal Intern supports the Legal Team attorneys and paralegals by conducting legal research and preparing legal and business memoranda; assisting with the drafting, review and negotiation of real estate contracts, commercial contracts, and other legal documents; assisting with corporate governance functions; and assisting with addressing legal issues at Wawa’s stores.
Principal Duties:
- Legal research and analysis as well as the preparation of legal research memoranda.
Review and preparation of:
Real Estate Lease Amendments
Real Estate Leases
Cease and Desist Letters
Tenant Estoppels and Subordination and Non-Disturbance Agreements
Confidentiality Agreements
Commercial Contracts
Board Resolutions for Wawa, Inc. and the Wawa Associates In Need Fund, a 501(c)(3)corporation
Essential Functions:
Ability to work well individually as well as in a team environment
Good customer service skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work with tight deadlines
Proven self-starter with the ability to make decisions, to prioritize assignments and to use independent judgment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year working towards a Juris Doctorate degree preferred
Strong academic credentials
Good computer and Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or Higher
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university for the Spring 2025 semester – Fall 2026 semester
Candidate must be available from May 19, 2025 – August 7, 2025
Wawa currently observes a 4-day in office schedule Monday - Thursday with an opportunity to work remote on Friday.
