Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
The Material Handler handles aluminum extrusions and other inventory used in commercial buildings. Individuals in this material handling position work as part of a team to ensure material is received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped to clients accurately per schedule. They will grab material out of semi-trucks/loading trucks, and a lot of products will be moved with a forklift. Once on the racks, they will move the material to different locations depending on the work order. They will complete up to 100 work orders a day as a team.
Responsibilities

Complete up to 100 work orders a day as a team.
Use basic math, reading, and computer skills.
Communicate effectively.
Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. from the ground and above your head.
Be on your feet for 8-12 hours.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Manage time effectively.
Use scanners and barcoding devices as required.
Contribute to a safe and enjoyable work environment.
Maintain excellent attendance and performance records.
Work independently or as part of a team.
Work quickly and accurately.
Determine what rack to put material on based on work orders.
Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in shipping and receiving, labor, production, manufacturing, quality checks, lifting, inventory, material handling, and warehouse work.
Willingness to train on forklift operation.
Use of PPE including safety glasses, protective gloves, safety shoes, and single-use ear plugs.

A $2.00 shift premium is available on the second shift. The workplace includes a nice cafeteria, an onsite nurse and clinic, and a clean environment with great air control.
Work Environment
The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. The facility is very clean, not air-conditioned but has great air control with fans and open doors and windows.
Shift
1st: 5:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday, 5:30 am - 9:30 am Friday, and 5:30 am - 9:30 am Saturday. Overtime will be announced a week in advance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $20.25
