Systems Architect

ROLE :

The successful candidate is an energetic self-starter with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, working on a team that designs, implements, and supports mission critical server and system infrastructure. This team is responsible for architecting all solutions in consideration of high availability, resilience, manageability, and reliability requirements and best practices. The architect role specifically is expected to provide consultation and guidance to technical resources across multiple technical disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES :

  • Design, implement, and manage server infrastructure across multiple US Data Centers.

  • Design, build, manage, and maintain Windows-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

  • Advise on and assist with the architecture and administration of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and other connected technologies.

  • Scope, build, and configure systems as requested by the business and other technical teams.

  • Support all existing virtual infrastructure and advise on all future implementations.

  • Identify, develop, and support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for infrastructure systems.

  • Provide hands-on support of systems, software, and technology as needed by the business and other technical teams.

  • Identify and plan project implementations, ensure that all objectives and deadlines are met.

  • Identifying and implementing improvements of processes, support models, and technologies.

  • Perform resource capacity modeling, create corresponding plans and standard operating procedures.

  • Interface with vendors and occasionally customers, in a professional manner.

  • Participate in projects and efforts that may require an after-hours change window.

  • Availability to provide after-hours support in critical situations.

  • Continuous refinement of system alerting and automation platforms to improve efficacy.

  • Interface with other business units to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.

  • Advise other system administrators and technicians regarding technical efforts and priorities, step in as Level 3 support when required.

  • Work closely with the Security Operations group to assist in the identification, response, and remediation of potential security issues.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related technical discipline or sufficient combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years of experience working with server infrastructure.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS :

  • Extensive technical and software application support experience with Windows Server.

  • Extensive technical experience with various virtualization platforms.

  • Extensive technical experience with Disaster Recovery and replication technologies.

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise Windows clients and supporting technologies.

  • Experience with various enterprise storage systems and technologies.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and other Microsoft cloud technologies.

  • Experience managing Microsoft Exchange on-prem and online.

  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.

  • Experience supporting datacenter HVAC and Power systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and manage complex technical issues across a variety of platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills, believing in collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Ability to manage projects of all sizes, involving multiple teams.

  • Ability to work effectively across a Global IT organization and business functional areas.

  • Understanding of IT Risk and SOX Compliance.

  • Experience with corporate IT processes such as Change Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Internal Audit.

  • Experience with the following technologies is a plus:
