The Senior Manager, Benefits will be responsible for designing, managing, and evaluating employee benefits programs to ensure they align with company goals, attract top talent, and support employee well-being, satisfaction, and retention. This position will report to the Senior Director Total Rewards or Director Benefits.
Benefits Program Management : Oversee the administration of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, leave policies, and other perks.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to ensure service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of benefits programs with overall business objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of benefits administration.
Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA). Stay updated on legislative changes and adjust programs accordingly.
Employee Communication and Engagement : Lead initiatives to educate employees about benefits programs and maximize participation. Develop and distribute communication materials, conduct training, and host Q&A sessions.
Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze program data to assess effectiveness, utilization, and cost trends. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior leadership.
Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of benefits specialists or analysts. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the benefits team.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
Work Experience
7 years of experience in benefits management, with at least 3 years in a global role.
3 years in a leadership role.
2 years of experience in Canadian benefits administration
1 year working in a manufacturing or high volume environment
1 year Workday benefit experience
1 year M&A experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, etc.).
Strategic thinking with the ability to design forward-looking benefits programs.
Proficiency in benefits administration platforms and HRIS systems.
Excellent analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions.
Effective leadership and team management abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
