EXPRESS EMPLOYMENT PROFESSIONALS Research and Development Technician-1216 in WAUKESHA, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Setup and run product testing per engineer requirement. Analyze product failure modes and document findings for engineers and customers. Maintain lab test equipment by performing calibrations and repairs. Perform preventative maintenance on test stand equipment. Assemble and disassemble test products for analysis. Maintain and order tools and supplies for the lab. Perform wear testing using various fluids supplied by customers. Maintain a clean, safe work environment in all lab areas. Using hand tools, the employee must be able to assemble and disassemble test-stand set-ups, products, and their installation and come into close contact with various operating fluids required for the test, function, and performance evaluation of products. Operate a variety of office equipment such as a personal computer, calculator, telephone, and fax machine. Operate a variety of shop equipment such as hoists, cranes, lab, and production test stand equipment along with associated devices used for monitoring and measuring all size and performance aspects of a product under development, test or production. Assemble or disassemble complex mechanical systems. Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications. Provide technical support to other employees regarding mechanical design, fabrication, testing, or documentation. Test machines, components, materials, or products to determine characteristics such as performance, strength, or response to stress. Discuss changes in design, method of manufacture and assembly, or drafting techniques and procedures with staff and coordinate corrections. Devise, fabricate, or assemble new or modified mechanical components for products such as industrial machinery or equipment, and measuring instruments. Prepare equipment inspection schedules, reliability schedules, work plans, or other records. Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly and testing. Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree (or be in a program to obtain an associate degree) in fluid power, mechanical design, or associated field. 1-3 years of experience working in a fluid power laboratory is desirable. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply In Person: 2717 N.
