GE Healthcare Lead Service Engineer - System Design in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

The Lead Service Engineer role has responsibility to drive Design for Service (Installation, Calibration, Serviceability, Preventive Maintenance, Service Features, Remote Troubleshooting) for MR products, playing a critical collaboration with engineering and service. Activities include developing service procedures by having a clear understanding of customer and field team needs; driving service productivity; performing service validation, providing support to manufacturing and field issues.

Job Description

This position will by hybrid (3 days a week onsite) in Waukesha, WI.

Essential Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  1. Translation of FE/Field needs to MR Service requirements and procedures

  2. Working with hardware, systems and software engineers on Design for Service

  3. Development of Field Procedures for Install, Hardware replacements and system calibration and troubleshooting utilizing

documentation and software service tools

  1. Support of Install Base issues and requests

  2. Project management of Service development activities

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent

  2. 4 years relevant work experience

  3. Excellent teamwork, coordination, influencing and communication skills

  4. Ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems

Desired Characteristics

  1. Master’s Degree in Engineering/Science

  2. Broad exposure to HW/SW/Systems design, and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical,

Biomedical, etc.)

  1. Project leadership experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or research environment

  2. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

  3. Ability to develop unique concepts/solutions for complex projects

  4. Experience in Field Service for Medical Devices

  5. Knowledge of GE Healthcare MR products

  6. Knowledge of GE Healthcare engineering tools and processes

  7. Knowledge of the GEHC Quality Management System
