The Clean Energy Finance Director is responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing the financial performance of Generac's fast-growing Clean Energy Business Group. In addition, this role serves as a trusted strategic business partner, providing support and guidance to the leaders of the Business Group.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and manage a team to provide oversight for the Clean Energy budgeting process, including managing the group to forecast deadlines and ensuring the accurate consolidation of subsidiary numbers.
Responsible for budgeting, reconciling, reporting, and analyzing Clean Energy cost centers. Work with business partners within the Clean Energy leadership team to manage the budgets for each functional area.
Analyze variances between actuals and forecast and between different versions of the forecasts through each planning cycle and present results to the executive team. Enhance existing weekly metric reporting and continue to manage for the Clean Energy leadership team. Work with each subsidiary to drive consistency of quality of reporting.
Enhance and manage the monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for Clean Energy, including coordination and consolidation of subsidiary group packages and preparing consolidated Clean Energy presentations. Identify and implement improvements in the quality of the data and content presented.
Develop automated reporting within the planning and reporting tool to streamline the planning and reporting processes and improve efficiency.
Help align the reporting of the business to the organization structure to properly align incentives. Support any reorganization or integration efforts within the Clean Energy business group.
Create, direct, and communicate ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed on customers, products, or strategies to project the financial results for the Clean Energy business as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related field
Work Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of combined Accounting, Finance and/or budgeting/forecasting experience
Minimum of 8 years in FP&A in a publicly traded company Minimum of 8 years of ERP experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience with financial planning and reporting software
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
CPA designation or MBA / MF advance degree
Experience developing reports within planning and reporting software
Experience in the US Solar + Storage market
