The Opportunity
This position is an onsite opportunity in BSS Quality Regulatory and Engineering Solutions. Sr. IT Delivery Project Manager on the Complaints Solutions Team will be part of a dynamic environment, delivering high value quality critical solutions to multiple Abbott business units globally. The key responsibilities include leading and coordinating implementation of quality critical software projects.
What You’ll Work On
As a Sr IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering complex quality projects on time and within budget.
Owning and delivering numerous complex IT projects with medium to high complexity.
Plan, execute and manage all aspects of the projects including initiation, planning, execution, validation and closure.
Work with business and IT management to gain consensus on project scope, objectives and deliverables.
Identify resource requirements, cost, and time schedules.
Leads cross functional teams for project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of projects.
Develop an implementation plan, conduct risk assessments, and develop contingency plans to accommodate unforeseen events.
Manage cross functional project teams including Business Analysts, Developers and Validation Analysts.
Responsible for tracking the overall project budget.
Prepare and present project progress reports to keep management and team informed. Identify problems, their resolution, trends, and their impact on project success; propose recommendations for management action.
The incumbent will not have direct reports but will lead a matrix team with a high degree of accountability to ensure that team is appropriately resourced and that team members are defining plans and adhering to commitments.
Required Qualifications & Education:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Overall, 7-10 years Project Management Software Delivery experience with an understanding of SDLC.
Strong experience in IT project management with Quality/Regulated Software delivery in a Life Sciences industry.
Experience managing software development and software validation projects, processes, and methodologies.
Coordinate and manage delivery of multiple cross functional, global IT delivery teams.
Led/managed a team of resources including developers, Validation testers and Business Analysts.
Strong risk management and risk mitigation skills.
Preferred:
Experience with complaints handling and other Quality Software Systems ( QMS/Customer Complaints solutions).
Knowledge of Salesforce/Trackwise digital .
Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) Certification.
Waterfall project management methodology.
Healthcare/Life science/Med devices experience is preferred.
MISC:
- This is an onsite role located in either Willis Tower or Abbott Park in IL and St Paul, MN. This is not a remote role/opportunity.

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
