Description You might be the full-time Staff Accountant Robert Half is looking for, if you're interested in becoming a critical part of an innovative company. You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. To thrive in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every day
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation Requirements - Skilled with ERP systems
Vow to meet business deadlines

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Computerized Bookkeeping System experience highly preferred
Background working with fund accounting
Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Practical knowledge of Form 1099
Good understanding of Enter Vendor Invoices
Previous experience working with Enter Vendor Invoices
General familiarity with journal entries
Earlier work involving non-profit fund accounting
Process Biweekly Payroll experience
Expertise in Assigned Balance Sheet
Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account
Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP)
Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Monthly Reporting experience highly valued
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
