DescriptionSolid Sealing Technology (SST) designs and manufactures small-scale electrical components used around the world. Our parts are found in many types of industrial, medical, and research facilities, and you will work with technologies used on equipment like energy storage systems, MRI machines, and particle accelerators. We have even sent parts to Mars! NASA's Mars Insight Mission uses components made right here in Watervliet, NY.Position Summary:The Shipping and Receiving Associate facilitates the movement of components and products to and from vendors and customers. The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for some or all of the following, including other various duties as required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:ShippingSelects items from stockroom, prepares and packages products for shipment.Creates and prints shipping labels and packing slips.Coordinates with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.Verify accuracy of orders and confirm that all necessary documentation is included.Ensures compliance in handling customers’ orders.ReceivingReceives and processes incoming shipments; ensures accuracy in physical verification of stock.Stores received items in the stockroom according to standard operating procedures.Scans documentation according to standard operating procedures, and enters stockroom data into the appropriate computer system.Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.GeneralPicks materials from stockroom for manufacturing.Assists with organizing and managing inventories.Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Shipping and Receiving area.Participates in periodic inventory cycle counts and records adjustments.Continuously identify opportunities for improvement (OFI); suggest ways to improve processes.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.3+ years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing setting required.Experience coordinating shipments with UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. required.Strong computer skills, including the use of inventory management systems, Microsoft Office, etc.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items.Ability to prepare required documentation.Ability to perform basic math calculations.Basic knowledge of customer service standards.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other legally protected status.Annualized Salary: $39,520-52,000 per yearBenefitsSolid Sealing Technology offers comprehensive benefits for full-time positions, and many begin on first day of employment.Generous Holidays, Vacation and Paid Sick LeaveHealth, Dental and Vision InsuranceEmployer-funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)Matched 401k Retirement Savings PlanProfit Sharing and BonusesGroup Life Insurance and optional Voluntary Life InsuranceDisability InsuranceHealth Flexible Savings Account (FSA)Dependent Care Assistance PlanAn Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Full access to on-site Fitness Center and recreational facilities (Watervliet Arsenal)
