WIS PAK - WATERTOWN Industrial Electrician in WATERTOWN, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Lead Person, the Industrial Electrician safely performs all electrical installations and maintenance work on equipment to maintain production operations and enhance an efficient, safe plant operation. The Electrician is authorized to request parts for repair work, determine time frames for repair of equipment or equipment installations, and oversee and work with outside contractors and technical personnel. JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual.) Safely perform skilled tasks in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade. Receive oral or written instructions related to work assignments, which may be accompanied by sketches and blueprints. Provide timely response of all trouble calls. Diagnose and remedy problems as requested. Safely perform start-up and shutdown operations involving the energizing and de-energizing of all equipment. Repair or replace equipment and apparatus efficiently and in compliance with city and state electrical codes. Document tasks completed and time required. Safely perform preventative maintenance work following established schedules and maintain documentation. Safely perform machine operation when needed and maintain working knowledge of equipment and plant operations and perform bench repair tasks. Safely operate power tools, hand tools, electrical test meters, welding and cutting equipment and man-lifts when required. Request parts for repair work. Determine time frames for repair of equipment or equipment installations. Prepare accurate daily maintenance work reports. Monitor and work with outside contractors and technical personnel, when required. Comply with all plant and food safety, FSMA (HACCP & HARPC), GMP, and sanitation regulations. QUALIFICATIONS Requires high school diploma or equivalency, and an education as normally acquired in four years of technical school or equivalent. Must be a licensed journeyman or equivalent. Three to five years extensive electrical and manufacturing experience. Strong industrial motor control background. Knowledge and experience programming Allen Bradley equipment and/or PLC programming certificated preferred. Must be available and adaptable to varying workloads, emergency call-ins and travel to technical schools or company business. Must be adaptable to exposure to damp noisy areas, air conditioning, and changing climate conditions both inside and outside. Requires ability to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with plan personnel, facility management and outside contractors. Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time.
