JOB REQUIREMENTS: WATERTOWN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Vacancy Notice NUTRITION SERVICES GENERAL ASSISTANT JOB LOCATION: Watertown High School DAYS: Monday Friday on days school is in session HOURS: 4.0 hours per day; 9:30 am 1:30 pm PAY RATE: Grade D Step 1 - \$14.68 per hour \$1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS START DATE: January 2025 APPLY BY: Immediately as applications will be reviewed as received QUALIFICATIONS: HS Diploma or GED Aptitude for passing ServSafe Food Handler course within first 12 months of employment Basic email and computer familiarity Aptitude for basic mathematical calculations & cash handling General manual dexterity Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced work environment Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, building staff & students Ability to accept direction and work both independently & in a team environment Ability to demonstrate high level of dependability Ability to properly operate and care for food service equipment Attentive to detail Ability to lift up to 40-50 lb. with occasional to moderate frequency Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with co-workers Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in interactions with staff & students at all times RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine food service tasks in accordance with the district\'s food safety plan following established standard operating procedures (SOPs) Attend all required in-service trainings and meetings; complete all mandatory annual continuing education requirements as established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Possess working knowledge of USDA meal pattern requirements and offer vs serve in accordance with National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) guidelines or ability to learn Set up & serve lunch menu items according to daily production record Serve planned menu in accordance with daily production record Provide direct supervision of and direction to students in the meal service area, including ensuring student meals meet federal nutrition standards Assist with daily basic meal preparation, clean-up & other food service-related responsibilities as time permits Provide coverage for point-of-sale computer program to process staff/student meal & a la carte milk purchases at lunch Assist with other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or production staff as necessary to meet program goals and objectives Apply electronically on Wisconsin Education Career Access Network (WECAN) (https://wecan.education.wisc.edu/#/) The Watertown Unified School District does not discriminate in its education program, activities, or employment on the basis of race, color, religion or creed, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, or disability status. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: millers@mywusd.org Apply Online: https://wecan.waspa.org Other: Apply online at WECAN.
