Job Summary: Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies and provides direct or indirect services that identify, restore and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient's safety and independence. Reports to Department Manager/Director. * *Education & Training: Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Pathology program. * License/Certification:Current Connecticut license to practice Speech Pathology. * Experience:One (1) year’s experience in a health care setting. Home Health Care experience preferred. Skills: • Knowledge of principles and practices of Speech Pathology. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians and co-workers. • Ability to deal effectively with stress and to exercise independent judgment. Other: Valid motor vehicle operators license, reliable personal automobile during business hours, and active automobile insurance coverage in accordance with Agency policy.
