Earthscape Ontario Landscape Construction Project Manager in Waterloo, Ontario

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Project Manager to support our crews in Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and surrounding areas. In this role, you will schedule, monitor and close out landscape construction projects while providing organization, management and logistical support to crews as well as ongoing communication with clients. You will coordinate crews and subcontractor scheduling, monitor project schedule and budget, and supervise, coordinate, and schedule the day to day work activities of a landscape construction crews. You will also plan labour requirements, equipment requirements and material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of job(s) within the deadline. In addition, you will maintain and enforce standards of safety, cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Have more than 5 years of construction and/or landscaping experience;

  • Have 5+ years of experience across a broad range of landscaping construction site work, including paver and step installation, concrete, masonry, site layout, and site grading

  • Knowledge of Plant ID, as well as proper planting bed and plant installation

  • Ability to coach and train crew leaders to install landscapes to the highest standards

  • Thrive in a busy work environment and respect project timelines;

  • Have 2+ years of experience in landscape or construction project management (PMP not required);

  • Have experience reading and interpreting scaled drawings;

  • Demonstrates leadership by example and the ability to engage others in the accomplishment of tasks in an efficient and organized way;

  • Have great problem-solving skills;

  • Recognize the importance of building to high quality standards;

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients;

  • Have a minimum G class license.

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Compensation: $40.00-$50.00/hour depending on experience

Location: 7215 Wellington Rd 86, Wallenstein ON with crews working around KW & Guelph
