Manulife Head of Product & Platforms in Waterloo, Ontario

Join Manulife as the Head of Product & Platforms for Affinity Markets, where you will craft the strategic direction and execution of our product, digital customer experience, and payment infrastructure initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving product innovation and ensuring seamless integration of delivery and product management to offer protection for our customers when and where they need it. You will lead a team of professionals, encouraging a culture of creativity and innovation, and contribute significantly to our mission of enhancing customer value and operational efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement a product strategy in line with the overall business strategy and maintain the product roadmap for the Affinity product portfolio.

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive digital customer experience strategy across travel, mortgage creditor, and health & dental businesses, with a focus on enhancing NPS.

  • Oversee the development and execution of value stream vision, objectives, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

  • Provide leadership and strategic oversight to the delivery organization, steering a cross-functional agile team that seamlessly integrates delivery and product management within each Value Stream.

  • Lead the modernization and management of the customer payment infrastructure across all Canada segment businesses, ensuring it meets current and future needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of dynamic experience in product development and digital delivery.

  • Proven ability to use data to drive decisions and back up assumptions and recommendations.

  • Experience in financial services preferred.

  • Proven track record in product strategy including research, business casing, product development, execution, measurement of results, and financial analysis.

  • Experience in product, service, distribution, marketing, or process management, preferably including previous experience in Individual Insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in getting deliverables from ideation to market launch.

  • Ability to work with engineering teams to go deep into technical concepts.

  • Excel at leading, inspiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing a cross-functional team.

  • Understanding of the target market for Individual Insurance products and competitive marketplace.

Salary range is expected to be between

$123,400.00 CAD - $229,300.00 CAD
