Finger Lakes Health MDS COORD in Waterloo, New York
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing-LTC, coordinates all Medicare assessments, care planning and reimbursement activities for the facility to assure compliance with regulatory agencies.

Minimum:
Graduate from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.
Preferred:
BSN
LICENSE:
Minimum:
Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
BLS through RQI upon hire
Preferred :
Certification in MDS and PRI
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Familiarity with documentation requirements for reimbursement.
Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, and survey process.
MDS, and care planning experience.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
Computer literacy
Preferred :
Experience with Microsoft Office products and MDS/care planning software
Salary Range: $36.90-$40.77
