This corporate communications expert will advance our Mission of transforming the health of our communities. As the Internal Communications Lead – Central Division and Digital Content, you will craft opportunities and communications to inform and engage our colleagues and providers in MercyOne’s Central Division and on web and digital channels. You will partner with a passionate team of marketing and communications colleagues and senior leaders to create content for in-person and digital internal channels and set benchmarks to measure success. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiative, dives deep into details and is energized by juggling priorities. The successful candidate for this position is also composed in fast-moving situations, embraces ambiguity and changing tides, ramps up quickly on complex issues, and anticipates questions/reactions. Lastly, the right candidate should be self-motivated. This hybrid position is preferably based in the Central Division, but 100% remote work may be possible. Minimal travel is required. Job Responsibilities: • Under direction of the Internal Communications Manager, work through an internal communications plan and calendar in partnership with system and division-based colleagues to advance priorities, drive engagement and promote culture using appropriate platforms and channels most relevant for colleagues across all levels of the organization • Produce internal communications customized to specific audiences, including updates from/to senior leaders, leadership team presentations, talking points and messaging, intranet content and more. • Provide regular updates from Trinity Health, the Executive Leadership Team and other system-level departments • In partnership with Internal Communications Specialist – Clinical, create physician updates/newsletters by division (as needed) • With direction from Internal Communications Manager, oversee content, strategy and protocol for publishing on MercyOne Intranet SharePoint pages specific to Central Division and system-wide programs • Work with the Digital Marketing Director and team to develop web content for service lines, recruitment, providers and more • Serve as communications lead for Trinity Health programs (TogetherTeam, TogetherCare, etc) • Provide division and digital support for system-wide events, celebrations and sponsorships such as Mercy Day, Hospital Week and Nurse’s Week • Collaborate with Communications Director and Internal Communications Manager to provide training for brand voice and content review for Communications team. • Be an essential and trusted partner to leaders, providing feedback and coaching them to more effectively communicate, build trust, and cascade with context • Extend MercyOne advocacy messages and support local advocacy events • Serve on the regional Culture Cabinet and infuse culture messaging into internal communications when appropriate • Support communications needs of regional community benefit programs and represent MercyOne on regional boards as requested • Continuously ideate and innovate • Live by our Mission, Values and Cultural Beliefs and showcase these MercyOne foundations in your daily work Full time opportunity with MercyOne Marketing & Communications! Hybrid Remote - Flexible Days in Office • A minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic communications or public relations in a health-related field as well as experience working firsthand with executives • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism or a related field; or equivalent career experience • Proven experience executing robust communications programs (including through earned media) in alignment with marketing and communications strategies to deliver results • Experience working with a cross-functional team to navigate communications challenges • Experience tracking metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach and engagement using tools including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Cision, Facebook Business Manager, etc. • Experience building culture and supporting cultural change • Strong copywriting and editing skills, including rewriting, optimizing, and editing content from subject matter experts • Ability to anticipate potential reputational issues and exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting concise and visually supported messages across multiple channels to support key strategies and messages about our services, people and the ways MercyOne is helping transform the health of our communities • Proven ability to build relationships with executives, leaders and external stakeholders (media, board members, community leaders) • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, readily adapting to continually changing priorities, and optimizing per feedback and performance • Outstanding interpersonal, project management and prioritization skills • Commitment to teamwork, improving daily and successfully adapting to changes Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
