Position Purpose
The Training Specialist I must be passionate about the credit union and demonstrate Vibe's core values through their communication and facilitation of all training sessions. The Training Specialist I is responsible for developing and conducting classroom, web-based, and one-on-one training for new and current employees. This role involves collaborating with all levels of the credit union to foster a positive culture and employee engagement, delivering diverse and effective training through multiple platforms, and adapting to the evolving needs of the organization. This individual should be prepared to embrace change and provide support for others as technology and service improvements are implemented. This person must be able to manage multiple responsibilities/projects simultaneously. Initiative, flexibility, organization, positivity are a must.
Essential Duties
Develop and maintain content for training ensuring relevance and effectiveness by continuously update training materials, covering a range of components including: leader's guides, participant guides, handouts, presentations, worksheets, resource library, and quick reference guides/job aids
Present department and job specific learning content via one or more of the following platforms: on-the-job training, job simulations, e-learning, instructor-led workshops, virtual, or a blended solution to individuals or groups in an engaging and effective manner
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on systems used by all member-facing team members
Facilitates monthly new employee orientation, acting as an ongoing mentor to new employees to help them feel welcomed and supported as they become acclimated to Vibe
Investigate and research available training methods and procedures to determine if new or improved training methods and materials could benefit the training department
Demonstrate behaviors that align with the credit union's guiding principles, embodying our Mission, Vision, and Values in all actions and interactions. Championing these core ideals, fostering a culture of learning, unity, and excellence among the training team members and beyond
Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with employees across the organization, while assisting with our cultural, community and employee engagement focus and initiatives.
Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as related to position
Must be willing to travel throughout credit union locations based on the training need
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Education/Experience
Minimum two years of experience facilitating adult learners preferred
Experience developing various types of training and reinforcement materials
High School graduate or equivalent

Experience with Training delivery, facilitation, and coaching (preferably >2 yrs.)
An understanding of adult learning principles
Proficient knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of Credit Union products and services and compliance requirements
Ability to build a rapport with others and create a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem Solving
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
Must be able to practice effective presentation skills both in the classroom and online
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver information clearly and effectively
Must be flexible and adapt to change quickly with a positive mindset
Must be able to identify learning styles and adapt training and coaching to meet the needs of individual trainees
