Amazon Learning & Development Program Manager, B-BBEE in Waterfall City, South Africa

Key job responsibilities

  • Driving and improving existing Learning and Development strategy for the business by outlining and implementing key objectives, initiatives, timeframes and related costs for senior leadership presentations and approval – this includes policy implementation and annual planning.

  • Coordinating and managing inputs and outputs for Learning and Development program in B-BBEE Management and Committee Meetings.

  • Monthly monitoring and evaluation of the Learning and Development program reporting and it’s impact on the overall business B-BBEE scorecards. This includes highlighting major risks, concerns, strategies, action plans to B-BBEE Management.

  • Driving Learning and Development compliance in the context of the B-BEEE, Skills Development, and Skills Development Levies Act across the business - this includes providing appropriate guidance and education on Learning and Development to internal stakeholders.

  • Representing the organisation(s) at relevant industry events, as required.

  • Keeping updated with changes and developments in B-BBEE, Skills Development and Skills Development Levies legislation and regulations.

  • Managing relationship with the B-BBEE Verification Agency and collaborating with the B-BBEE team on auditing and reviewing (monthly) data for the Annual B-BBEE Audit.

  • Managing internal reporting including monthly B-BBEE scorecards and analyse the monthly B-BBEE data reports and make recommendations or initiate corrective actions

Basic Qualifications

At least 10 years relevant work experience, and

  • Demonstrable experience as a senior leader and/or snr Learning and Development Professional.

  • Demonstrable experience as a senior leader and/or snr Learning and Development Professional with referenceable customers who are JSE listed and/or multinational organisations.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience on the B-BBEE legislation, including DTIC Codes of Good Practice, The Amended ICT Sector Codes and/or the Amended Financial Sector Scorecard.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience on the Skills Development and Skills Development Levies legislation, including preparation of and submission of Workplace Skills Plans, Annual Training Reports and Pivotal Reports to relevant Sector Education and Training Authorities annually.

  • Demonstrable ability to draft and present detailed reports, policies and manage the B-BBEE verification process.

  • Superior technical expertise in the interpretation and application of B-BBEE legislation, including all elements of the Amended ICT Sector Codes.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing learning and development programs in the context of economic transformation.

  • Demonstrable evidence of an ability to collaborate with technical teams to develop, deliver, and maintain a transformation Management Information Systems.

  • Demonstrable experience on working with senior leaders in global operations whilst managing multiple and simultaneous competing priorities.
