KBF Senior Associate, Middle Market in Washington

KBF is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Middle Market team.

The KBF Middle Market group delivers quality tax solutions to KBF clients specifically privately owned middle-market companies and high net worth individuals. As a leader in this space, the group's collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment offers employees the opportunity to work with both high-caliber team members and top-tier clients while maintaining a small-firm atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clients guidance on services related to individual, partnership, corporation, trust, and estate taxes

  • Supervise the analysis and computation of client’s proprietary tax strategies

  • Serve as the primary client service contact for a portfolio of clients; proactively recognize opportunities to provide additional services

  • Manage the delivery of accounting services to ensure technical accuracy and high-quality work product within budgetary and time constraints

  • Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on tax law, trends and developments; obtain deep technical expertise in the area of accounting for income taxes

  • Lead and manage teams of tax professionals:

  1. Participate in the mentoring and development of team members; Be actively involved in team recruiting, training, and retention

  2. Review associate and senior work before submission to Partner’s for top-level review

  • Assist in administrative and operational initiatives as assigned by firm leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Must have completed the necessary academic credit hours to sit for the CPA exam

  • Proven success supervising complete engagements, and demonstrated technical proficiency in dealing with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred

  • Proficiency in individual,partnership, and corporation taxation

  • Motivated, quick learner with strong communication skills and demonstrated professionalism

  • A minimum of 3 years recent Middle Market experience and have obtained the title of “senior associate” or similar designation

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
