AMI, Inc. of Washington-Greene Counties Van Driver, part time in Washington, Pennsylvania
AMI, Inc. is seeking a reliable and responsible Driver to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for transporting consumers to specified destinations in a safe and timely manner during the designated swing shift hours, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate Transit van, that seats up to 15 people, to transport consumers to and from AMI as required
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe transportation
• Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly
• Coordinate routes efficiently to maximize productivity and ensure consumers arrive on time for programs or events
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers and addressing inquiries professionally
• Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage and complete required documentation accurately
• Communicate effectively with Fleet Manager, Supervisors, and Program Directors to coordinate schedules and updates
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
• Follow company policies and procedures, demonstrating a commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism
Qualifications:
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Eligible to pass FBI Fingerprint, State Background, and Child Abuse Clearances
• Must be a prior or current mental health consumer with the ability to role model recovery and establish trust in relationships with peers and co-workers
• Previous experience as a driver preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Successful candidates must undergo a drug screening as part of the hiring process and maintain a drug-free status throughout employment.
