A & S Landscaping Inc Landscape Laborer in Washington, Pennsylvania
A & S Landscaping, Inc. is looking to fill multiple permanent, full-time Landscape Laborer positions.
Begin/report to work: 26 Mansfield Rd, Washington, Washington County, PA 15301. Employer will transport workers daily between report to work address and additional worksites.
Additional worksites: (work throughout the following counties/areas): Allegheny, PA, Greene, PA, Washington, PA, and areas of Pittsburgh, PA, Western Pennsylvania nonmetropolitan area.
Duties: Operate vehicles or powered equipment to care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, or trimming. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmers. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or other grounds features. Gather and remove litter and debris. Use hand tools, powered equipment, or vehicles to remove snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots, and spread salt in those areas. Clean and maintain work sites to ensure safety. Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures using hand or power tools & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply.
Terms: Employer will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local employment-related laws and regulations such as wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime hours (overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at 1.5x regular rate of pay per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.).
Requirements: Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. Must have 6 months Landscape experience. Post hire, worker must be able to obtain a valid driver's license as driving on public roads may be required. No minimum education requirement. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense.
Wages & Conditions of Employment: $39,582.00/Year.
Possible offered daily/weekly hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-6:00PM. 40+ (plus); not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work.
