ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Contingent worker

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Under general direction, provides general administrative and staff support to a department or group of professionals. Collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information. Composes straightforward written descriptions of results. Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills. May assist in budget preparation and control activities. May assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities and operations. May screen and interview job applicants and orient new employees. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT High school diploma required 3+ years of administrative experience Problem Solving: Solves moderately complex problems; makes recommendations to improve standard procedures and/or processes. Customer Response: Anticipates and understands customer needs and identifies solutions to nonstandard requests. Planning and Organizing: Manages own time to meet objectives and is proactive in offering help to others. Teamwork: Contributes to achievement of team goals within own area or department; promotes teamwork through understanding of broader team goals. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work with confidential information. Ability to work under frequently changing priorities. Organizational skills. Problem solving and decision-making skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel. Knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation. Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
